You can delete your Forage account and its associated data at any time. Here's how, and what happens to your data.
Deleting your account does not cancel a paid subscription, because subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by Forage. If you have an active subscription, cancel it first in your App Store or Google Play account settings, then delete your account.
In the app, open Settings and choose Delete account. The deletion runs immediately and cannot be undone. Alternatively, email [email protected] from the address linked to your account (or include enough detail to identify it) and ask us to delete it. We will action the request within 30 days.
Your account and login, your profile with its display name, level and profile picture, your watchlist, your harvest log, your notes, your saved regions and your species collection are permanently deleted, together with your posts, comments, likes and follows in the community. Anything the app stored on your device is removed when you uninstall it.
Foraging spots you contributed to the community remain in the shared map, but are anonymised: they are no longer linked to you or to your profile. Beyond that, we may retain limited information where the law requires it or for legitimate purposes such as fraud prevention and financial records. Purchase and billing records are held by Apple or Google under their own policies. Any data kept for analytics is aggregated and no longer identifies you. See our Privacy Policy for details.
